Feeding Guide
Early Lactation : Furless Pinkie
Di-Vetelact Original milk replacer can be adjusted to match the dilute milk suited to infant fur-less marsupials.
Recommendedations
Dilution 1 scoop : 60mL
Volume 10-20 mL daily: per 100g body weight
Frequency 7 feeds per day
Some joeys can tolerate more or less. Ideal volume will depend on the age, condition, and species.
Feed joeys new into care little and often until condition and digestive tolerance is assessed. Slowly increase volume accordingly. Most animals have the ability to self regulate their intake and will generally take as much as they need, however care must be taken with young joeys not to overfeed or underfeed.
Always consult with an experienced Wildlife Co-Ordinator to establish what will suit each individual joey best
Middle Lactation : Pouch emerging
As the marsupial begins to develop fur, grows bigger and is feeding less often and hence requires higher levels of fat, the milk can be adjusted to be more concentrated.
Recommendedations
Dilution 1 scoop : 50mL
Volume 10-20 mL daily: per 100g body weight
Frequency 6-5 feeds per day
Some joeys can tolerate more or less. Ideal volume will depend on the age, condition, and species.

Late Lactation : Young at foot
Once the marsupial is spending a lot of time out of the pouch and drinking water independently, dilution can be more concentrate again.
Recommendations
Dilution 1 scoop : 40mL
Volume 10-20 mL daily: per 100g body weight
Frequency 4 feeds per day

Dehydrated Rescues
