Newborn - Weaned
Foal Milk Replacer
As a milk replacer, Di-Vetelact Original fulfils the vital nutritional requirements of newborn foals that have been rejected, orphaned or early weaned.
It contains essential amino acids and fatty acids necessary to help with tissue growth and supplies vitamins and minerals in a purposeful nutrient profile to ensure foals reach their maximum potential.
Di-Vetelact Original is also beneficial as a supplement to mothers milk if supply is lacking, mum is stressed and for non thriving foals needing supplemental feeds
Directions for Feeding
Foal Milk Replacer
110mL daily of liquid Di-Vetelact® Original per 1kg of body weight daily
Divided into equal portions for each feed.
- Day 2 - 7 Feed 2-3 hourly
- Day 7 - 21 Feed 3-4 hourly
- Day 21 - 28 Feed 4-6 hourly
- Months 2 - 4 Feed 6-8 hourly
- Months 4 - 6 Feed 8-12 hourly
*All foals should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. The early colostrum milk helps with immunity due to its high concentration of the antibodies IgA and IgG which protect against viruses and bacteria. If mare’s milk was not possible, speak to your vet about a suitable colostrum.

Pre-Natal / Pregnant / Lactating
Nutritional Supplement
Di-Vetelact Original is helpful prior to and then during pregnancy as it supports the broodmare’s increased need for calories, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals for healthy foetal development.
It is recommended as a pregnancy nutritional supplement as it contains iodine and folate and provides beneficial nutrients for the developing foal to store in their body to utilise immediately after birth.
Proper nutritional management of the broodmare during late gestation will give her foal the best start in life.
Di-Vetelact Original is also supportive for the broodmare throughout lactation for the energy requirements essential to support optimal milk supply and nutrient production, required by her foal

Sulphur containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine, support a glossy and luscious coat.

30mL approximately of prepared liquid Di-Vetelact® Original per 10kg body weight daily
Alternatively one scoop of Di-Vetelact Original powder sprinkled over the feed per 20kg body weight

Horses In Work
Nutritional Supplement
Hard-working horses need more and energy than the average horse. They also need extra nutrients and electrolytes.
Di-Vetelact Original is recommended as a nutritional supplement that ensures delivery of nutrients in a “Nutritionally Complete” profile, supplying 25 vitamins and minerals and important amino acid protein building blocks for muscle development and maintenance.

Nutritional Supplement
Di-Vetelact Original contains all the essential vitamins and minerals, amino acid proteins and fats necessary for tissue repair and healing when horses are have been through an operation or illness.

Recovery and Restoration Support
Offer around 6-12L of prepared liquid Di-Vetelact Original daily.
Divided into 6 feeds. Let your animal drink as much as it needs at this time.
Let the horse take what it needs.

Preparation of Di-Vetelact Milk
Directions :
- Use the 20mL Di-Vetelact® scoop supplied = 9 grams powder.
- Add 1 scoop to 60mL of warm water.
- For 1 Litre : add 15 scoops,135g to 900mL.
Ensure water has been pre-boiled and is cooled to approximately 40ºC. Mix together well to form a smooth milk consistency. Always shake or stir vigorously before feeding to evenly distribute nutrients.
Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve within 24 hours.
Bottle feeding: Any milk remaining in the bottle should be discarded after the feed.
Bowl feeding: Any milk remaining in the bowl should be discarded after 2 hours. Ensure bowl is cleaned well.
Serving :
*Day 1 and 2 Foals must receive colostrum from their mother or a quality veterinary recommended replacement
* Feed infants with sterilised teat and bottle, or from a feeding bowl or bucket
*The foal or horse should take what it needs. But do not overfeed.
*For animals not inclined to lap milk, mix Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV milk into their food. Or, sprinkle powder over their meal as a delicious topper
Storage :
Sealed container should be stored in a cool dry place. Once opened keep sealed when not in use and for best results use within 1 month of opening.
